In 2008, VECO-Vietnam launched its new program on Sustainable Agriculture for Chain Development (SACD). The intervention in the safe vegetable chain has already begun with 2 partners: The Economic Department mainly for production support, and VINASTAS, a consumers’ organization for its promotional activities and public awareness campaign.

Vegetable production in Cañar, Ecuador: sustainable livelihood analysis and chain analysis

In the Andes region, VECO focuses on the development of two agricultural chains: coffee and vegetables. At the start of its new 6-year programme, VECO Andino carried out a livelihood analysis and analysis of the vegetable chain in the province of Cañar. The study was carried out in partnership with the farmers' organisation Chuya Mikuna.

Coffee chain in Manabí, Ecuador: sustainable livelihood analysis and chain analysis

In the Andes region, VECO focuses on the development of two agricultural chains: coffee and vegetables. At the start of its new 6-year programme, VECO Andino carried out a livelihood analysis and analysis of the coffee chain in the regio of Manabí. The study was carried out in partnership with the coffee producers federation FECAFEM.

Cassava chain in Mkuranga district, Tanzania: sustainable livelihood analysis and chain analysis

In Tanzania, VECO works in Same, Simanjiro, Chunya and Mkuranga district. At the start of its new 6-year programme, VECO Tanzania carried out a livelihood analysis in the area of Mkuranga and analysis of the cassava chain.
